Nope if it's working it will work. If it was going to crash it would have already happened right after autotune. I would suggest people try different versions of cudaminer too. This is the case on my GTX though independant cards may differ. The performance gains were artificial and caused by error in code. CPU usage is a side effect of newest release and yes it is normal.
