On Feb 1 that TH will also disappear. This is one of the reasons why the compound interest principle doesn't apply to Hashflare IMO because with a real compound interest situation your original investment doesn't expire it continues until cashout. Possibly it would be worth it, but in my opinion the difficulty of bitcoin right now is the driving factor in low profits and so lowering the MEF would likely just result in temporary relief.

Hashflare pays too little. Plus still have fees. Also Sun Mining has withheld payments. I agree cloud mining should probably be avoided unless they reform their business model considerably.
Hashflare is NOT profitable anymore. The contract in Hashflare only lasts one year. I think It would be even difficult to take usd back. So in this investment I am losing about usd. Please guys don't invest in Hashflare. OMG, I just realised that the withdrawal threshold is now usd.

I just think they are one of the worst ROI you can get in crypto. I've been in Hashflare since I currently only have 2. It is technically possible for BTC difficulty to go down and it does occassionally go down but difficultly is a reflection of the total hashing power on the bitcoin network. What this means is that as long as bitcoin is desireable and people continue to invest in mining devices the difficulty will continue to go up.
I invested last August is been rubbish and now I cant withdraw as they have made in too high for the min withdrawal. Hopefully that minimum will come down, it was pretty high when I checked it last. This is one of those times that maybe the cloud miner is ok. If its just a temporary issue I'd say wait but if hardware is difficult to get all the time then maybe. I still think investing directly in the coin is probably superior to cloud mining.
I don't recommend hashflare right now, even with Valentine's special you are probably better off buying a coin directly or waiting a month and building a physical miner. Better to buy the coin directly from Coinbase. I agree with you if you own the mining equipment you can sell it or mine another coin and btw I am thinking about selling my rig I totally agree with you. Being able to switch them around to different coins is great. One of the things I'm thinking about is when brand new coins come on jumping on and mining them when difficulty is low and then holding them in case they explode.
Can't take moon shots with mining contracts, can't switch to more profitable coins either. Steve Coin having your mining equipment is better than renting it at least you can choose which coin you wanna mine unlike mining contracts. I wouldn';t sell yet unless you think you can make a profit on the gear and re-enter the market in month or two.
